Advantages of Unidirectional Fabrics

As another possible disadvantage, compound parts composed of unidirectional carbon fiber have a very plain, single-grain finish. If the fibber wants to have that good-looking, name carbon fiber finish, they will usually use a single layer of knit fabric as the outmost layer of their layup.
